Health Insurance Marketplace

Affordable Care Act (ACA)/Marketplace –  often referred to as “Obamacare,” was designed to provide individuals with access to affordable health insurance through a marketplace where Americans or legal residents can purchase federally regulated and subsidized health plans during the open enrollment period. To be eligible, you can enroll during the Open Enrollment period or after experiencing a qualifying life event such as a job change, marriage, divorce, relocation etc. Eligibility and costs vary by income, household size, age, and location.

Open Enrollment Period: November 1, 2025 – January 15, 2026.

  • Deadline for January 1 coverage: December 15, 2025.

  • Deadline for February 1 coverage: January 15, 2026
